Livestock production in Nebraska is a foundation of the healthy, high-quality and affordable food all of our families enjoy. It is also a critical component of Nebraska’s future – providing vitality and opportunity across the state and adding value to Nebraska’s agriculture output and energizing the economy for the benefit of everyone.
To help protect and support this industry, the Alliance for the Future of Agriculture in Nebraska (A-FAN) was formed by the Midwest Dairy Association, Nebraska Beef Council, Nebraska Cattlemen, Nebraska Corn Board, Nebraska Corn Growers Association, Nebraska Farm Bureau Federation, Nebraska Pork Producers Association, Nebraska Poultry Industries, Nebraska Soybean Association and the Nebraska Soybean Board. These groups with the support of other Nebraska interests want all Nebraskans to know that our livestock farmers are not only essential to improving the quality of life we enjoy in Nebraska, but they are just like you in caring for their families, animals, neighbors and their land.
Nebraska’s farmers are hard-working and conscientious. Unfortunately, misinformation about animal welfare is spreading. We need your help in ensuring that all Nebraskans know the truth about high-quality, humane farming practices in our state. By becoming a fan of animal agriculture in Nebraska, you can help keep our state economy strong while helping other Nebraskans have a better understanding of where their food comes from.
