The Alliance for the Future of Agriculture in Nebraska, AFAN, is a nonprofit organization made possible through the support of our partners. The work we do across Nebraska to support livestock producers and strengthen rural communities would not be possible without the businesses and organizations that stand alongside us.

Among those supporters, our Premier Partners continue to play an especially important role. Their commitment goes beyond financial support; they actively invest in Nebraska producers and the future of agriculture in our state. One of those key partners is Farm Credit Services of America (FCSAmerica).

FCSAmerica has been a longtime ally in helping grow Nebraska’s livestock industry. Through financing and agricultural lending services, the organization supports producers across the state as they expand, modernize, and invest in the future of their operations.

One area where FCSAmerica continues to stand out is its dedication to young and beginning farmers and ranchers. The organization offers specialized financing tools designed to help producers who may have strong business plans but limited access to capital. Programs such as Young and Beginning Loans provide opportunities for producers to secure needed credit as they establish or grow their operations.

FCSAmerica also offers a Young and Beginning Development Fund, a modified installment loan program designed for breeding livestock, contract finishing, and other specialized agricultural needs. These loans can range from five to ten years and up to $250,000. In addition to financing, participants receive financial guidance, planning resources, and educational support to help position them for long-term success.

FCSAmerica has specialized and dedicated resources for the Starting Gate program, a hands on service specifically designed for young farmers and ranchers in the agriculture industry. Programs like these continue to create opportunities for the next generation of producers looking to return to the family farm or establish their own operations.
